下記は開催前の告知文です。

　Gumbo's EarはDJ&Talk形式のイベント(レコード/CDコンサート)です。ニューオリンズの名物料理ガンボのようなごった煮状態の音楽嗜好(ようするに何でもあり)で企画していきます。
　その６回目は、2003年もそろそろ終わりということで、今年の良かった物を各自が紹介することになりました。新譜、再発物、ライブ、映画などなど、今年の音楽に関するものなら何でもOKとしました。また、当日の飛び入りDJも大歓迎しますので、今年はこれが良かった！と思うものを持参して頂ければ幸です。
　現在決まっているDJ&Talkは、渋谷サムズの小川さん、BSR誌ライターのスカンク近野さん、ヴィニールジャンキーのKO-1さん、そして守島です。
　忘年会シーズンではありますが、この夜は今年の忘れられない音楽をたっぷりお送りしますので、皆さん是非お集まりください。 　なお、スタート時間がいつもより早いので、ご注意下さい。また、詳細は決まっていませんが、当日、先着何名かの方へはプレゼントも用意しようと思っています。
